ABOUT ME
RACHEL BLACKMAN, LMBT #21724
Originally from Charlotte, NC, I have called Asheville my home for the past 10 years. I have always been interested in the human body and passionate about health and holistic wellness. My yoga practice has been a pivotal part of my healing journey. I completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in the Spring of 2023, deepening my knowledge and devotion to the spiritual path. Massage allows me the opportunity to combine these passions with my innate desire to help others.
I graduated from The Center for Massage & Natural Health in January of 2024. With my yoga background, I was immediately drawn to the meditative flow of Thai Massage. Since graduating, I have completed over 100 hours of Continuing Education in Thai Massage. I continue to study Osteo-Thai under Kelly Scott in Knoxville, as well as Traditional Thai Massage with Jill Burynski of Living Sabai and Thai Yoga Bodywork with Michael Sitzer, both based in Asheville. I am devoted to learning and embodying the principals of Thai Massage and believe whole heartedly in its long-lasting and transformative results. I have also received training in Ayurveda, a holistic & natural system of medicine that began in India over 3,000 years ago, sharing its roots with Yoga & paving the way for Thai Massage.
